After more than three months of fishing season off in the South China Sea, fishing in various sea areas in Guangdong province, including Yangjiang, Maoming, Zhanjiang, Zhuhai, Shanwei, and Dongguan, is gradually resuming this week.

From August 15th to 16th, the 21st Nansha (Yangjiang) Fishing Festival was held on Hailing Island, Yangjiang. Fishermen and tourists from all over the country gathered here. With the order to start fishing, fishing boats set sail for the sea for a new business start.

Guangdong Province has a coastline of 8,500 kilometers, accounting for over one-third of China"s coastline. It is also the province with the longest coastline and the widest sea area in China, with a total of 1,134 islands. The extensive coastline ensures abundant seafood here, including oysters, abalone, squid, crabs, sea urchins, and various shellfish. Therefore, the greatest joy of the Fishing Festival is the return of numerous delicious seafood.

For those who are at the festival, the fisherman"s feast can be missed. A long street is filled with various seafood delicacies served on the table one by one. The main dishes include fish, shrimp, crab, sea cucumber, etc.

A tourist from Suzhou said in an interview that he had purchased a house by the seaside in Yangjiang. Every summer vacation, he would bring his family to Yangjiang to experience the coastal charm of Guangdong.

"Luckily, the fishing festival kicked off. My kid thought the festival would be really fun and he likes the sea. And my family loves seafood. We go to the local market to buy seafood every day, trying different varieties. It feels like the holiday is too short here." In his opinion, the biggest difference between Guangdong and Suzhou is that the nightlife in Guangdong is very diverse. Participating in the fishing festival allows him to experience the joy of fishermen, which is a special experience.

南海开渔激发新一波滨海旅游热潮

从阳江到茂名、湛江、珠海、汕尾、东莞……经历了三个多月的南海伏季休渔期，广东省内各海域在本周逐步恢复生产作业。

8月15日至16日，第二十一届南海（阳江）开渔节在阳江海陵岛举行，渔民及来自全国各地的游客齐聚于此。随着开渔号令发出，渔船奔赴远洋，开启新一轮耕海作业。

广东省海岸线长达8500公里，占全国海岸线的三分之一以上，是我国海岸线最长、海疆最广的省份，岛屿总数多达1134个，分布甚广。绵延的海岸线注定了这里盛产海鲜，生蚝、鲍鱼、鱿鱼、螃蟹、海胆以及各种贝类。因此，开渔节最大的喜悦当数无数丰盛的海鲜回归，让人食指大动、垂涎欲滴。

对于身在开渔节现场的人来说，最不可错过的是渔家大宴。长长一条街上被各式海鲜美食塞得满满当当，主菜以海鲜为主，鱼、虾、蟹、海参等各类海味争相跃上餐桌。

现场，一位来自苏州的游客接受记者采访时表示，自己在阳江海边购置了房屋，每逢暑假都会带家人到阳江度假，感受广东的海滨风情。

“正好碰上开渔节，小朋友感觉很热闹，他很喜欢大海，我们一家人则喜欢吃海鲜，每天都会去当地市场买海鲜，换着品种吃，感觉怎么都待不够。”在他看来，广东和苏州最大的不同在于广东的夜生活十分丰富，通过参加开渔节感受渔民欣喜的心情更是特别的体验。
